Working on the muscle groups; defining the head and neck. defining the hands and feet. The larger details are almost done. Studying alot of animal references, and re-doing the sculpt several times now.
Update to a test landscape. Sculpted some extra detail to the rock faces in Mudbox. Experimenting with the texture colors. Want a dark cold feeling with the main rock faces against a warm feeling of the ground.
Mudbox:
UDK: did some tests in UDK with height fog. Added a general specular map - to see how the rock catches the light. Landscape is at 1009x1009; just with the base color texture applied (above).
Creating base terrain textures in photoshop - from the multiple world machine masks that I exported previously. I am doing this to concept and create a base of a terrain to be brought into UDK or CryEngine3. I will be making other tileable textures to paint onto the terrain in engine.
Added wing membranes. Adjusted some scale and proportions again. Not fully convinced of the the jaw line and head size. Think I will just move onto creating scale-plating features.
Finishing the front guns and camera unit. Experimented with making some main panel lines with floating geometry. I think I will go with nDo to generate normals for that.
